Desistor Network - Singapore Prison Service

The Desistor Network is about bringing together ex-offenders in the community to lend peer support to those who are on their reintegration journey. Bruce Mathieu, as one of the pioneering mentors, often meet up with newly-released inmate and harness his social media as a form of positive peer pressure to encourage them.

At the Desistor Network launch event, Bruce Mathieu was invited by the Singapore Prison Service to be the moderator for the discussion panel.

As an ex-offender, he is heartened to see the vast difference from his first incarceration in the early 90s to what it is today. The Ministry and SPS have pumped in a lot of resources and effort to help those in prison and those released.
